I just finished reading Richard K. Nelson’s Hunters of the Northern Forest. After my first Canadian winter, I found the following excerpt amusing:
At home or in the line cabin, the Kutchin like to be comfortably warm. Houses are rarely cold and occasionally become too hot. A temperature of 70° to 85° is preferred.
Likewise, I like to lounge around at home in shorts and a t shirt, regardless of the weather outside. ![]()
