George Nelson

George Nelson was trained as an architect, but is best known for his modern interior and industrial designs. He worked with the Herman Miller firm for over 20 years, collaborating with the likes of Isamu Noguchi and R. Buckminster Fuller. Modular furniture, the pedestrian mall and the idea of the family room are all Nelsonian inventions. Read more about Nelson at aiga.org and see his most enduring designs at twentytwentyone.com.
