Since we returned from Guanajuato I have spent every morning looking for music from Mexico’s golden era. I started posting some of my favorites to my video blog this afternoon. I adore Lola Beltran singing Cucurrucucu Paloma, and the this clip of Toña La Negra accompanied by Agustín Lara proves that I was indeed born half a century too late and a thousand miles too far north.
