If you are using Windows XP, browse to C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.0\program. Open the file named soffice.ini with a text editor like Notepad. It should look like this:
[Bootstrap]
Logo=1
ProgressBarColor=0,0,128
ProgressSize=-1,6
ProgressPosition=-1,-1
Change the second line to:
Logo=0
Save the file.
